SEO Tip - Adsense Ad Placement for maximum clicks (CTR).

For all those who have blogs, and use adsense in it might find this tip useful. If you use blogger i.e. blogspot service for your blog, then you might know that it has ready made places for adsense. If your blog has a decent traffic, then you will observe that although quite a few people visits your blog, but they hardly click on the ads. One of the reason for low click through ratio is the placement of ads

From my experience.I can say that the best CTR (click through ratio) is achieved if we place our ads :

1. Right after the heading or the title.
2. Right after the end of the  post.

For the first option, a standard Ad unit is recommended. For the later, the big rectangle gives best results. So make these changes in your blog, and let me know if you can see any improvement in your click through ratio.

SEO Live Demo - Day 4 - 1st Traffic Stats for the Blog.

As promised in the last post, I am posting the first stats for the dummy blog http://howtomakeitrecipes.blogspot.com , which I made for purpose of using for this experiment.

As you can see, the blog has stared to get some visitors. I made it day before yesterday, and it has got around 40 visitors till date, with a page view of around 1.5 per visit, which makes it around 60 page impressions, which you can see in the stats.This traffic has solely come from the initial SEO that I did here.

The blog is still to get traffic from google, which is what we are ultimately aiming at. To make that happen, our next step will be to make this blog more google friendly. How to do that, is what I plan to share with you in the coming posts. So, keep in touch. Cheers !

Hi again ! I haven't heard anything from anyone of you till now, so I assume, that none of you have started with the experiment as yet ;) So, In case anyone develops interest in this SEO experiment, you can still start with it, as its still not late. Here is how to do it :
